valentine’s day is swiftly upon us and i’m sure many of you are looking for something beautiful to wear for your sweetheart on the 14th. i have become quite smitten with this elegant gown from haven designs. Delora dropped this black and silver dress on me last night and i have been prancing around like a little princess in it.

like everything from haven designs, this dress sports amazing textures that look very soft and touchable. i am a big fan of brocade patterns so this dress immediately won my heart. it comes in several colours but as i am little miss monochrome… i got the black one.

to make myself a little less black and white, i accessorized with a lovely necklace from unique needs. since we are close to valentine’s day, i figured a heart pendant would be a good choice. i am unfortunately not sure if these are available in her store. when i got mine, it was in a lucky board.

on a different note, i hope no one minds that i’m getting a little bit artsy fartsy with my pictures. i was getting tired of the plain background. i did want to mention that these photos are still not photoshopped except to crop them and add the site name to the corner. i never touch up my avatar or the clothing in these photos because i want to maintain that what you see is what you get. so please do forgive my jaggies and ugly unliquified mesh :p but i hope that these photos are a little less bland than previous looks!

oh hai.. yes i know it probably seems like i’ve abadoned this place but no i’ve not. i’ve just had a lot of real life crap to deal with over the last several months so i haven’t really been playing in my giant sl wardrobe.

tonight’s look comes from boredom and sorting inventory. the database did something weird and i couldn’t wear half of the stuff in my folders, so after it fixed its self i decided to throw on some fun stuff.

i really dunno what to say about this look so i guess i’ll just get on with the shopping list. i do promise that i’m going to try and be more active on this blog so don’t count me out yet.

its been a while! i am so sorry for that. i hope you guys will forgive me! anyway lets dive right back into the shopping shall we?

this morning my dear friend jasmine tp’ed me to the Fri.day sale… well ok she tp’ed me there to see if it was still on… we were lucky and it was, and i went on a little shopping spree :D

i know alot of people have been mentioning that the owner(s) of Fri.day are alts but really who cares when they make stuff like this?!?! their store is packed full of some really great basics and even some shoes and hair!

the sunglasses in this outfit are from Lookr and they are currently on sale! very cute and they come with a version for your eyes and one for on top of your head.

the tanktop i’m wearing is old Truth, which sadly while still awesome, is no longer available for purchase.

i love this guitar even though it was a mistake purchase. for lucas’ xmas present a couple of years ago i bought him this guitar on slx. but by accident (i was half asleep at the time) i hit the buy now button instead of the gift button and ended up sending it to myself! the creator, nomasha was very kind and helped me get one to lucas but now i have this guitar that i barely take out of my inventory. still thought it was a cool accessory for this outfit.

Hair Fair Haul part 1

so another hair fair is already half over, and i have been so lazy to blog about it! but no more lazyness.. today i’m gonna show off the more casual styles that i picked up this year. and then in another post, i’ll show off the crazy stuff ;D

pig tails.. i always end up with 8923749285629347 pigtails when i go hair shopping. its insane and i’m not sure why i am so hooked on them. anyway this hair is called “esme” and it’s by truth. i love the little wavy tails, they remind me of my real hair when i put it in pigtails. i also love how it’s loose and has little wispy messy pieces just hanging around. truth’s newer hair is very flexy, and has a very soft look to it. its very tough to photograph but its beautiful.

the second hair i picked, yup, more pigtails. this hair is called kasia and its from Kin which is one of my favourite hair stores of all time. this hair is non flexi, and while it may seem a bit stiff, it is still really cute. i love the little curl to the bangs on either side.

last hair for the blog today is from find ash. this is once again not flexi, but it is very cute, and works for both dressy looks and casual. the only thing i did not like about this hair, is that it was very small on my head. the demo was not as small and fit me pretty well with just a little scalp peeking out, but the one i ended up with had alot of bald spots and prims sticking though my ears. so be warned, if you are not good at prim resizing and modding, you might want to think twice about this hair.

ok! that’s all i have for today, tomorrow we’ll get to the more wild of the styles i picked, as well as a special blog dedicated to calico creations because the store owner was so nice and gave me a blogger pack :D
