when i was a little girl… (and yes let me start this out by saying i am a female in real life and most of the time in second life) i wanted to be a little boy.. not like.. have a penis and all that.. but i wanted to wear boy clothes, play with boy toys, and get to do things boys were doing… my family and teachers did not like that, and while my parents were a bit more relaxed, my grandmother was VERY dead set on making sure i remembered that i was a girl… pink everywhere, dresses all the time, no mud, no gi joes, only barbie barbie barbie…
as i got older and had more control over what i could wear and do, i chose to dress more androgynous and i had friends who did the same. i once dated a guy who wore dresses, and i would wear suits to match. we shared clothes and it was fun, nothing weird to me or him about it. the school of course was not happy, and later on to be an ass, i wore a suit and tie to school every day for a year.
to me, clothing is clothing. it doesn’t mean you are a certain gender, or sex, it doesn’t mean you are gay, straight, bi, transgender, intersexed, genderqueer, or anything else you wanna lable with. it means you are not naked, you are wearing clothes.
