wretched dollies has made my perfect valentine’s day dress.

this gorgeous black and red ruffled dress is perfect for a night on the town with a special someone.. or just to stand around and look pretty in a pretty sim.

something i love the most about the clothes i’ve gotten from wretched dollies is that they have an elegant gothic look to them, but they are not tacky or flashy about it like some gothic clothing stores.

i love the matching top hat.. i am a tiny top hat fiend…

this dress comes with a second skirt style, more of a dolly short skirt, but i felt this one was more romantic for valentines day. there are also a few different layer combinations you can work with (the lace undershirt is a secondary layer so you can go without it if you wish!) and the long skirt has a version with or without the flower on the hip.

ok so i suck at keeping up with a 365, so if you were excited about that, sorry! something i AM excited about, these new vamp teeth from moonshadow! this is something i have actually wanted for photos and stuff because its really hard to get a nice vampy mouth part when you’re using normal people teeth.

tada! moonshadow has now saved me time and effort!

these teeth are prim so they aren’t just painted over your lips to make you look like a vampire rabbit, there are two versions, one with an invisiprim to part your lips, and one with an alpha layer, so no matter what viewer you are on, these work, and i am rather smitten with them!

its my lunch time, so while i go dig up a true blood, you go shopping:

i have always loved the art of day of the dead, especially the decorated skull images that grace various items involving the holiday. so i was very excited to see these awesome earrings from [Aura]. these earrings are MESH and they are fantastic! since they are not rigged mesh you can wear them as easily as you would any other prim attachment. they come in an array of colours and i think they are simply gorgeous.

you can find these awesome earrings tomorrow at the knitting circle bake sale and then at the [Aura] store after the 29th!

i was trying to find a cool place to take a blog photo for this awesome dress and earrings from aura (formerly grixdale) and i found this really cool city that looked kinda empty, so i started snapping…

i heard a noise and saw dots on my minimap heading towards me in a big group. they.. they were moaning.. and they didn’t look right. they rushed towards me and i let out a girly scream, breaking into a run.

Playing With Mesh

today i decided to play with the mesh clothing sent to me from TenFifteen. yes i know mesh is all over the feeds right now  but i don’t care! its so much FUN to play with! as a photographer, one of the biggest problems i have is trying to make clothing look good, smooth out all the glitches, and make it look like it fits the pose. sometimes that means you are stuck using only certain poses. this is even more important when fashion blogging, since the wrong pose can make a great clothing item look weird or cut though you.

mesh pretty much says TO HELL WITH THAT BUST OUT THE DEL MAY POSE!

this gorgeous dress and these amazing boots are just a start from TenFifteen, and i cannot wait to see what else they bring out! these photos are unedited except for a little ps to get rid of the annoying glitches that shadows give me when i take photos. these clothes are exactly as they look in world!

of course mesh has its caveats. certain poses are still *too much* for the mesh to handle.. i played with several, and a few broke the mesh a bit. and of course there is the little issue of having to tweak your shape for mesh clothing. hopefully LL is looking into deformer morphs to make them fit to our fat and not just our bones.

for this dress i didn’t have to do much tweaking. there were two sizes included, and i fit the curvy size, EXCEPT i had to make my boobs bigger >_>. the shoes i was happy to see did not require ANY tweaking! size 2 fit like a glove :D i’ve never had knee high boots fit without some sort of adjustment so i am pretty happy with these!

when i was a little girl… (and yes let me start this out by saying i am a female in real life and most of the time in second life) i wanted to be a little boy.. not like.. have a penis and all that.. but i wanted to wear boy clothes, play with boy toys, and get to do things boys were doing… my family and teachers did not like that, and while my parents were a bit more relaxed, my grandmother was VERY dead set on making sure i remembered that i was a girl… pink everywhere, dresses all the time, no mud, no gi joes, only barbie barbie barbie…

as i got older and had more control over what i could wear and do, i chose to dress more androgynous and i had friends who did the same. i once dated a guy who wore dresses, and i would wear suits to match. we shared clothes and it was fun, nothing weird to me or him about it. the school of course was not happy, and later on to be an ass, i wore a suit and tie to school every day for a year.

to me, clothing is clothing. it doesn’t mean you are a certain gender, or sex, it doesn’t mean you are gay, straight, bi, transgender, intersexed, genderqueer, or anything else you wanna lable with. it means you are not naked, you are wearing clothes.

do not adjust your monitors.. yes i am blonde O_O. the new dress from grixdale made me feel all summery and beachy so i decided to bust out the blonde hair and hit the beach! i am envious of my avatar right now..

i’ve accessorized this outfit with this beautiful necklace/earring set from MOOD. jori’s jewelry is always stunning but usually is a bit fancy for my usual style (maybe i should just get fancy more often so i can wear her stuff :p) i loved the simplicity of this set, and the chaotic tangle of chain links suits me just fine. you can find it at the fashion garret for a limited time, i am not sure if she is going to have this available in her store after its time there, so do make sure to grab it while you can!

Grixdale - Emery - Last Call - Sale

while’ i’m on the subject of stuff you should grab while you can, grixdale is retiring the emery line in preparation for a new version. she hasn’t decided when she’s taking these out of the store so you should get there fast and grab them while you can!

and finally, if you’re not grixdale’ed out yet… i wanted to show off the adorable mr soggy bottom doll that mini-me (my kid alt juliet) grabbed yesterday!
