Hair Fair Haul part 2

sorry it took me so long to get back to this! here’s the next part of my hair fair haul. this time we’re looking at the odd hair that i bought. i could of course wear these as every day hairs but they are more stylized for costume looks.

the first hair is emery by calico ingmann, she originally handed me this is a few colours as part of a blogger pack but i loved it so i got it in my typical hair colour. its great for those sorceress looks.

next we have HoM’s Ballz 2 the Wallz which has an awesome optional mohawk that you can turn off via the hair’s menu. i love HoM’s hair because you get one hair that comes scripted with all the colours in the pack you choose, you just click, choose a colour, and bam, you’re done! less clutter in my inventory i love it. her styles are always very funky and look great with punk looks.

this was definitely my hair of the hair fair. i love falls in real life, but they are just impractical and expensive in the real world, so finding some here was awesome! these are the foam falls in green by NDN. great for techie looks or even just an industrial goth party.

the last hair was another definitely happy find. i had been fussing at myself to buy some hair like this for my kimonos but i just never got around to looking. well philotic energy helped me out in that department with this amazing hair called ishiko! its the bones that really sold it for me. making this a more sinister twist to the elegant geisha.

the hair fair still has a few days left! so run out and buy stuff! the lag is starting to die down finally so it should be easier to see and walk

Hair Fair Haul part 1

so another hair fair is already half over, and i have been so lazy to blog about it! but no more lazyness.. today i’m gonna show off the more casual styles that i picked up this year. and then in another post, i’ll show off the crazy stuff ;D

pig tails.. i always end up with 8923749285629347 pigtails when i go hair shopping. its insane and i’m not sure why i am so hooked on them. anyway this hair is called “esme” and it’s by truth. i love the little wavy tails, they remind me of my real hair when i put it in pigtails. i also love how it’s loose and has little wispy messy pieces just hanging around. truth’s newer hair is very flexy, and has a very soft look to it. its very tough to photograph but its beautiful.

the second hair i picked, yup, more pigtails. this hair is called kasia and its from Kin which is one of my favourite hair stores of all time. this hair is non flexi, and while it may seem a bit stiff, it is still really cute. i love the little curl to the bangs on either side.

last hair for the blog today is from find ash. this is once again not flexi, but it is very cute, and works for both dressy looks and casual. the only thing i did not like about this hair, is that it was very small on my head. the demo was not as small and fit me pretty well with just a little scalp peeking out, but the one i ended up with had alot of bald spots and prims sticking though my ears. so be warned, if you are not good at prim resizing and modding, you might want to think twice about this hair.

ok! that’s all i have for today, tomorrow we’ll get to the more wild of the styles i picked, as well as a special blog dedicated to calico creations because the store owner was so nice and gave me a blogger pack

Nimil’s Hair Fair Report part 1

i had a wonderful time at the hair fair preview thing! even though a few booths were still empty or half open i was able to grab most of the stuff i wanted on preview day!

this year’s hair fair was themed after candy land, and i was dying of sugar shock at every turn. giant cup cakes! candy! and of course hair (now thinking about it.. getting candy in your hair or hair in your candy is kinda gross)

there were some great booths, and some interesting hair this year, and of course there was lag… even though they asked us to keep the arc down i saw plenty of people there in friggin ball gowns and arc’s well over 2k. i myself chose a very low arc outfit, no shoes, and hair from etd which kept me in the green and somewhere around 400 i think.

congrats to this year’s flickr contest winners! i was lazy and didn’t enter this year (oops) but i was very blown away with those who did! everyone should go check them out!

i know i showed up in different hair but my friend autumn gave me her awesome new hair called gattina and i decided i had to wear it for the rest of the day! it worked well with my outfit as well!

there was alot of great crazy hair at the hair fair, here’s a couple that i didn’t actually buy but i did admire alot.

this one is by curio obscura (i hope i got that right, i’m not on sl at the moment to check!) and it’s called “let them eat cake off of your head” and it features some crazy doll hair style curls and mountains of cake perfect for the hair fair theme this year! just please don’t wear it at the hair fair please!

this one is by toast bard and i am stupid and forgot to note down the name of it but it made me laugh since you could pretty much call yourself a pot head when you wear it :p. i might actually go back and get this one.

while roaming around, i bumped into the owner of calico creations and she tossed me a blogger pack of hair she was actually the only hair designer at the preview who actually did that, and i will be blogging that in another post later on! she is also wearing a cute style that i ended up buying a black pack of because i can never have too many pig tails. anyway i wanted to take a photo of her because she was very nice

the last photo of the hair fair that i got is my favourite booth at the fair (not to mention a favourite store of mine)

the hair at house of munster is awesome and really fits my punk/goth moods. i will be going back for more of her hair fair hair because she didn’t have the black pack vendor set out for one of the hairs i wanted, but i did grab another from her booth that i will have in my hair fair haul blog later on.
