Forced Midnight

i tossed this look together yesterday with the hopes of finding a metal club or a place with a mosh pit to take photos in. alas i was unable to find such a place, but the outfit was so cute i figured i’d share it.

so last time i blogged about my favourite prim eyes. this time i’ll be blogging about my favourite non-prim eyes.

before we get into the crazy eyes i’ll start with the eyes i wear when i want to be normal (as if i can be normal :p). exodi makes these really beautiful eyes that sparkle and have a realistic feel to them. i love that the iris looks kinda like glitter and the shine on the eyes make them look wet like real eyes.

these are my staple eyes. i usually prefer to wear red eyes but of all the red eyes i have, these are my favourite. unfortunately i have not been able to find this store inworld for some time. these eyes have a really pretty glassy effect that remind me slightly of a doll’s eyes.

i got these eyes in a big fatpack at frick a while back. i’m not sure if they are still up for sale but if they are go get them because the price is great and you get a bunch of really cool eyes. i’m always on the look out for eyes with black sclera and weird irises and these fit both of those!

this last pair of eyes was specially made for me by nara tairov. she sent me the yellow ones that she made for 50L fridays and i asked for green and so i got green nara is working on animal eyes and so far she has made some really amazing ones! this is the only pair of goat/sheep eyes i have ever seen in my entire 3 almost 4 years of second life. bug her and tell her you want them for sale!

i’ve often been complemented on my eyes. i tend to own a very strange mix of them, so i figured i would showcase a few that i really love. some of these were gifts, some of these were hunt items, so i can’t promise that all of them are still available in world. i do want to thank these awesome creators for going outside the norm when it comes to eyes! this is going to be a 2 part blog. the first part is going to focus on my favourite prim eyes!

i’ll start with my fave of all favourite prim eyes. now i’m putting down that their store is night ghast, but they used to be under the name numinos. these eyes were made by nebulosus severine and were passed to me directly from her. i have no idea if they are for sale or if they have ever actually been for sale but she has some really awesome prim eyes and regular eyes among her creations so if her store is still around i recommend checking it out.

my second favourite pair of prim eyes are the “ice eyes” by AVid. they are really hard to photograph because of their glow but under the glowing prims is an eye with an awesome ice texture. adding the glow prim adds some interesting effects to the eye, they look much better when not zoomed in very close like i have here.

these “HAL eyes” from burning chrome are another fave of mine. they are from the 2009 twisted hunt and i am not sure if they are available for sale. i love these eyes because i love the movie they pay homage to. 2001 a space odyssey is one of my all time favourite movies, even though i am afraid of creepy AI controlled things such as HAL. i often pair one of these prim eyes with one of the static contacts for a really wicked look.

my last fave for the prim eye blog comes from house of ruin. i first encountered their store via the DSN system and immediately fell in love with their unique eyes. this is the hell-ena eye in “guaricana”. i bought the set which also comes with a cross pupil and a slit pupil, as well as this one which has no pupil.

my 2009 ended badly and i was unable to keep up with this blog. (read here if you’re curious what happened) i had originally planned to blog this outfit on the first of the year but my internet was on the fritz until yesterday, so i’m just now getting around to it. that means you have less than a DAY left to snag this amazing orpheun circuit dress from tiny bird. the designers united vaudeville exhibition will be ending tomorrow, jan. 6th.

autumn hykova has come a long way and its been fun to watch her get better and better as time goes on. i have been searching for the perfect black ballerina outfit and i think i found it!

to complete my outfit i used my favourite ballerina boots made by fairlight industries. last time i went to this store they were just a box with a rant about copybotting so i have no clue if they are in sl anymore… but if they are YOU NEED THESE BOOTS! they are beautiful and even compatible with restrained life, if you are into that sort of thing

the skin i am wearing is from fishy strawberry’s 50L sale that they had back in october (i think it was october?) i have to be honest here and say that it is not the best skin overall. its a little grainy… however for the look i’m going for, its perfect. i really love the pout to the lips. not sure if they dumped these skins after the sale was over though.. so might not be available anymore.

yes i am way late to the lady gaga bow hair party. i grabbed this hair from the magika sale and honestly i got it mostly because it covers the eyes and i liked the way it looked with my face. its kinda a lady gaga meets the ramones look. not sure if that is available anymore either… yes i promise some of these items are for sale! i hope..

one thing that is definitely for sale is the tattoo i’m wearing from my own marla quote set (you can find it at LuNi) it says “good luck saving her” which is what marla says to the cops as she’s running out of the building with tyler.

my jewelry is from deco and callie cline and was both stores’ 50L friday black friday offering. both are great finishing touches to this outfit.

there were a ton of really awesome outfits and other things at the designers united exhibition but out of all of what i bought, i love this ballerina dress the most! and i really hope autumn will make more clothes!

tonight’s look comes from deep within my “to blog” folder.. erk. i ment to write about this one a while ago but bleh my lazy kicked in. so i’m writing about it now.

my really good friend jasmine passed me this outfit after she realized she’d already bought it once before. its a beautiful cropped long sleeve top and floor length skirt from sn@tch called “autumn gothic”. the whole thing comes with several tops in different colours but me being little miss afraid of colour picked black as usual.

i tossed this look together today after updating one of my skins to the new eloh skin template. this skin is not available to the public however because it was the limited edition juliet skin from our 2008 vain inc ghost hunt prize. i have to get the ok from the other half of LuNi before i can sell it, but i wanted to show it off because i love this skin and always have.

i’ve noticed that i gravitate towards wearing this same darn hair from analog dog, but can you really blame me? its beautiful and its long flowing curls are perfect for this sort of outfit.

also in this look are eyes from Frick that are awesome and really affordable, a bone tiara from canimal, and my favourite boots from sinistyle which you cannot see.

this morning my dear friend jasmine tp’ed me to the Fri.day sale… well ok she tp’ed me there to see if it was still on… we were lucky and it was, and i went on a little shopping spree

i know alot of people have been mentioning that the owner(s) of Fri.day are alts but really who cares when they make stuff like this?!?! their store is packed full of some really great basics and even some shoes and hair!

the sunglasses in this outfit are from Lookr and they are currently on sale! very cute and they come with a version for your eyes and one for on top of your head.

the tanktop i’m wearing is old Truth, which sadly while still awesome, is no longer available for purchase.

i love this guitar even though it was a mistake purchase. for lucas’ xmas present a couple of years ago i bought him this guitar on slx. but by accident (i was half asleep at the time) i hit the buy now button instead of the gift button and ended up sending it to myself! the creator, nomasha was very kind and helped me get one to lucas but now i have this guitar that i barely take out of my inventory. still thought it was a cool accessory for this outfit.

just wanted to apologize for the really awful looking “FILE NOT FOUND” crap popping up on my pages! its temporary, and i am fixing it. the photo host i was using crapped out and deleted entire directories of images, which means i have to reupload them all and edit the pages. working on that now!

i also want to apologize for a lack of updates, i have been lazy and i do have a few things in my “BLOG THIS!” folder to show off, just haven’t taken the time to do it. i’m getting a new graphics card by next week (my old one died today *sob*) so i’ll be trying to blog more as soon as that arrives!

one of my friends is opening a roleplay sim and she has this really insane looking pig-man avatar that we send out randomly to scare people. well i decided to check out the store she got that thing from and i was delightfully suprised to find some really awesome clothes, at some truely insane prices!

Rotten toe makes my favourite kind of clothes, creepy, dolly, goth, trashy, etc. so i bought and bought and bought. here’s a couple of the outfits i put together using their stuff.

these are the "bibfever" overalls in dead soul. they come with the awesome ripped up red tights in two versions. with an underwear layer to make them full tights, or as a stockings version. there’s also a scarf and an alternate skirt prim, as well as an undershirt which i opted not to wear. in its place i am wearing an old bikini top from artilleri.

this second outfit is a bit more gothy, using the infected black satin shirt, which is really awesome for its low price. it has a ruffly prim tail and prim collar, and comes in all layers. the formal ringmaster pants are also by rotten toe, and come in all layers and also include a notecard that give you some ideas on how to mod the pants and wear them differently. i’m wearing the underwear layer here to tuck them into these awesome boots from VDI.

sorry it took me so long to get back to this! here’s the next part of my hair fair haul. this time we’re looking at the odd hair that i bought. i could of course wear these as every day hairs but they are more stylized for costume looks.

the first hair is emery by calico ingmann, she originally handed me this is a few colours as part of a blogger pack but i loved it so i got it in my typical hair colour. its great for those sorceress looks.

next we have HoM’s Ballz 2 the Wallz which has an awesome optional mohawk that you can turn off via the hair’s menu. i love HoM’s hair because you get one hair that comes scripted with all the colours in the pack you choose, you just click, choose a colour, and bam, you’re done! less clutter in my inventory i love it. her styles are always very funky and look great with punk looks.

this was definitely my hair of the hair fair. i love falls in real life, but they are just impractical and expensive in the real world, so finding some here was awesome! these are the foam falls in green by NDN. great for techie looks or even just an industrial goth party.

the last hair was another definitely happy find. i had been fussing at myself to buy some hair like this for my kimonos but i just never got around to looking. well philotic energy helped me out in that department with this amazing hair called ishiko! its the bones that really sold it for me. making this a more sinister twist to the elegant geisha.

the hair fair still has a few days left! so run out and buy stuff! the lag is starting to die down finally so it should be easier to see and walk
